So I wanted to tweet that the Donald Miller "Blue Like Jazz" movie is actually gonna be made due to the donations of many, and not a studio's funding. Then I asked myself "why?". Was it just to tweet? To let folks know that I was aware? To acknowledge that I was a donor?
This Twitter/Facebook thing is perhaps the most narcissistic medium ever. Yet, what about a blog?
Absolutely not. In my opinion, it's just a more efficient way to communicate with our friends!
ReplyDeleteI suppose narcissism is in the true intentions and heart of the user, regardless of medium. In addition, Twitter/Facebook doesn't corner the market on narcissism—it's as old as time.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a narrow path between self-worship on one side and hiding behind an online mask on the other. I have a hard time seeing you going off track in either direction.
